Bought the VW DISCOVER MEDIA PLUS MIB2 PQ RETROFIT KIT W/ APP CONNECT™ and thought I could use the factory USB harness, however CarPlay function won't work, nor could the radio play songs on a USB drive, but Android Auto worked. Eventually I purchased the AUX+USB harness and CarPlay worked. Had to rework the factory Quadlock harness connection. Great product.

Upgraded to mib2 unit for 2015 vw gti. So I needed the Aux input harness. Great job Euro Zone Tuning

Totally worth it! This was a must-have when upgrading the stock infotainment unit on my 2015 Golf R. The install was a bit daunting for me - I'm a total novice. I highly recommend removing the glovebox to run the cables. It's actually not as difficult as it sounds, and there are videos out there that can walk you through it. After I removed the glovebox, the install was pretty straight-forward and smooth. Highly recommended mod if you want CarPlay on your older model VW!

The harness performs as expected. The componenet conenctions and wiring are top quailty. The onyl trouble is, there is a wire that is not landed or connected to anything. I thought the wire had pulled from a conenctor so i emailed eurozone. Got a fast response and found out that is how the harness should be. Wish they told me that on the site or had pictures of what the harness will look liek when received installed of the coiled up version. Other than that, it is working as intended.

Harness is a complete solution for 2015 GTIs with the old Media-in ipod connector.
