VW Discover Media Plus MIB2 PQ Retrofit Kit w/ Apple Carplay (Gen 2)

Upgrade the stereo in your VW to the newest model available, the Discover Media Plus (otherwise known as the MIB2 PQ). The MIB2 PQ Gen 2 is available as a premium option on select 2020-2022 Volkswagens and features Navigation, App Connect, and many more new features.

Our Retrofit comes with everything needed to retrofit the MIB2 PQ in your 2006-2022  Volkswagen. Depending on your vehicle's model and year, you may need additional accessories to complete the install. Check out our FAQ for more information. Check out customer reviews and feedback on our kit here.

• OEM Discover Media Plus MIB2 PQ Navigation System
• Unlocked, with component protection removed. In great cosmetic and working condition
• Latest Volkswagen North America Map SD Card
• Activated for the included MIB2 PQ
• Required to run GPS Navigation. Stays installed in SD slot 1 while Navigation is in use

Notes:

• Minor coding with Vagcom may be needed once installed in vehicle.
• An updated CAN Gateway Module may be needed for Vagcom communication and to avoid MFD information lag in some vehicles. 2015 models do not need the Canbus module upgrades. We recommend this for proper MIB2 functionality on most 2014 and older models. Add this using the checkboxes above
• For 2014-2015 models with Bluetooth pre-installed, your stock mic will no longer function with the MIB2 PQ. We recommend installing a new microphone for an easier install.
• OEM Microphone Kit
• For 2016+ models without Apple Carplay, you will need the Carplay USB Full Kit.
• The MIB2 PQ requires an updated MIB2 compatible rear view camera. If your vehicle has a rear view camera installed from the factory, you will need to upgrade to one of the camera kits below or install a conversion kit (Scosche CRTVW01) to retain the feature in the MIB2 PQ.

• 2006-2009 vehicles will need additional accessories to complete the install. See our FAQ. Everything needed for an RNS315 or RNS510 install applies.
