Sold individually: This listing is for one Bilstein B6 DampTronic rear shock. The E60 M5 uses two front struts and two rear shocks, so order the quantity needed for your repair. A complete rear axle requires quantity 2.

Bilstein B6 DampTronic Rear Shock for BMW E60 M5

This Bilstein B6 DampTronic rear shock is built for the 2006-2010 BMW E60 M5 with factory Electronic Damper Control. It is a stock-height replacement upgrade that keeps the original electronic damper control system functional while tightening up rear-end control.

This is the right move when your original EDC dampers are tired, leaking, or starting to make the car feel floaty. You keep the factory electronic damping system, factory springs, and original control modes, while getting a more controlled Bilstein B6 feel.

Bill's Take

For an E60 M5, I would avoid cheap no-name electronic dampers. The car is too heavy, too fast, and too sensitive to lazy suspension. Bilstein B6 DampTronic keeps the OEM+ idea intact: factory EDC compatibility, better body control, and no lowering required.

This is not a lowering kit and does not include springs, mounts, hardware, or the opposite side damper. If you are refreshing the full suspension, order two front struts and two rear shocks.

  • AWE Tuning Products: AWE Tuning offers a lifetime warranty on their exhausts and a one-year warranty on their intakes and intercoolers. The warranty covers craftsmanship and materials under normal usage conditions. Abuse, improper installation, and modifications void the warranty.
  • ZAC Motorsports: ZAC Motorsports products are covered by a 2-year limited warranty. The warranty covers defects in materials and manufacturing, but does not include damage due to racing, misuse, or improper installation.

  • ST Coilovers: ST Suspensions offer a 5-year limited warranty on their coilovers. The warranty covers craftsmanship, materials, and normal usage. Improper installation, racing, and modifications are not covered.
  • Eibach Coilovers: Eibach products carry a limited lifetime warranty. This covers defects in materials and workmanship but excludes damages caused by improper installation, racing, or misuse.
  • Ă–hlins Coilovers: Ă–hlins coilovers are covered by a 2-year limited warranty. This warranty applies to defects in materials and craftsmanship but excludes damages caused by improper installation or racing applications.
