Great camera, just wish it was easier to install and didn't require wires running through the car.

No experience installing this kind of stuff. The install was straightforward. The instructions were easy to follow and the kit is well labeled. The camera works great. I have one comment. The ground wires from the camera unit connector to the wiring harness connector were not aligned correctly allowing the ground connection to remain open (not connected). Once I fixed that issue, everything worked. Bill's attempts to help resolve the problem at Eurozone were supportive and responsive.

Install was super simple and only took about 2 hours. The kit has everything you need except one ground wire terminal end, one wire tap/splice, and a mini fuse tap (add-a-circuit fuse tap). If you request the directions when you order they will email them and you can ensure you are ready for install when your camera arrives. There aren’t really any fancy tools needed for the install. I had a buddy with the VW VCDS software already installed on his laptop so the radio coding was simple and only took us about 3-5 minutes. I googled the process for enabling the camera and there was a 30 second YouTube video that showed every step and made it simple. I wish I didn’t wait 9+ years to finally do this install on my 2013 VW Jetta TDI w/ Nav. 100% satisfied with my purchase!

Hi - installed the back up camera, upgraded radio, and GPS antenna into my 2015 Jetta. Everything worked great, no issues at all. Bill and the crew were exceptionally helpful and provided great customer service.

The install took me about 5 hours but it is worth it. The camera is great. It sends good image with good color and resolution. If you have all the right tools in one place, the install might take you less. I had to go to auto zone to borrow some tools. You need a loop for the black ground wire to attach it to the body of the car on a bolt of your choice. I chose the trunk lid arm. Obviously you need a crimper to attach the wire to the loop and the fuse tap. You need a 10 amp mini fuse tap so that you can connect the red wire to fuse #24 in the front of the car. The fuse for the camera takes position 1 on the tap and the dash fuse takes position 2. Fuse #24 only receives power when the ignition is on. I believe it powers the dash. and you need to tap into the reverse light wire using the yellow wire. The black and yellow wires stay in the trunk while the red wire goes to the front with the video cable. You need a bag of small zip ties to tie things as needed especially in the trunk area. The red wire stops at the fuse box in the front the car under the steering wheel while the video feed cable continues on to the Radio. I have RNS315 which has the camera port. Make sure to pull your radio and check if you have the camera port in the back of it otherwise this camera will be useless for you. You have to remove the back seat to get to a nut that holds a trim piece over the wheel well next to the back of the back seat. there is a T20 screw under a cover you have to open in the trim piece. Use a metal fishing tape or a wire hanger (in my case) to find a route for the wiring. Once you are past the back seat you can use the factory wiring channel that is under the trim that runs besides the seats. That part is easy. The hardest parts are getting from the trunk past the back seat and getting from the fuse box to behind the radio passing behind the steering column to route the video feed cable to the radio. the wiring channel is easy. Did not even use zip ties to run the wires through it. Pros: - Good quality very well made camera. - Good clear video feed - Fits like a glove. - The wires are already wrapped in a sticky cloth tape that you can remove as you need to. Cons: - I would not call this a kit because you do not get the extra stuff you need like the loop (for ground), fuse tap (for power positive) and wire splicer/tap (for reverse light wire). - There is a PDF that explains how to do the install and I stumbled over it by accident on the internet. The seller made the effort of putting it together but did not mention it at all in the paperwork that came with the camera. - while the PDF was helpful in identifying which wire does what, it does not show you how to route the power cable and video cable to the front of the car. - this setup is designed for different model cars and the video cable and power wire are way too long for the MK6 Jetta. I had to cut the power cable (red) and I had to wind the video cable and tie it with the excess loom/cloth tape that I removed. Luckily, I could stash it behind the radio and it fit fine with no problem. The install was time consuming and frustrating at times but with some patience and a few breaks to have a drink especially in the summer heat you can make it happen.

So far, everything works like it would from the factory! Can't believe this is even a thing that you can install on an older car like mine. Amazing upgrade for the daily! My vehicle is a 2013 VW Jetta 2.5 SEL.
