This rear shock is designed as a high-performance replacement for the factory rear damper, giving the car more control, better stability, and a more confident feel without requiring coilovers or a full suspension conversion.

Built with Bilstein’s proven 36mm monotube gas-pressure design, the B6 is a strong upgrade for street-driven cars, restored examples, and enthusiast builds that still need real-world ride quality.

Overview

The Bilstein B6 Performance rear shock is a direct-fit suspension upgrade for select BMW E30 and E36 Compact models. It is designed to improve damping control while keeping the car usable and comfortable for normal street driving.

Compared to a tired factory shock, the B6 helps reduce rear-end float, improve body control, and give the chassis a more planted feel through corners, transitions, and uneven roads.

  • EZT Carbon Edition Steering Wheels: The EZT Carbon Edition steering wheels come with a 1-year warranty for workmanship. This warranty excludes damage caused by physical misuse, harsh environments, or improper installation.
  • Porterfield Brakes: Porterfield offers no warranty for brake pads due to the nature of the part.
  • AWE Tuning Products: AWE Tuning offers a lifetime warranty on their exhausts and a one-year warranty on their intakes and intercoolers. The warranty covers craftsmanship and materials under normal usage conditions. Abuse, improper installation, and modifications void the warranty.
  • ZAC Motorsports: ZAC Motorsports products are covered by a 2-year limited warranty. The warranty covers defects in materials and manufacturing, but does not include damage due to racing, misuse, or improper installation.
  • Motul Oils: Motul products come with a limited warranty that covers the shelf life and quality of the oil when used as directed. Warranty claims must be accompanied by proper documentation of vehicle usage and oil change intervals.
  • KW Coilovers: KW suspensions come with a limited lifetime warranty on their coilovers. This warranty is valid for the original purchaser and covers defects in workmanship and materials. Excludes damages from motorsports or improper installation.
  • ST Coilovers: ST Suspensions offer a 5-year limited warranty on their coilovers. The warranty covers craftsmanship, materials, and normal usage. Improper installation, racing, and modifications are not covered.
  • Eibach Coilovers: Eibach products carry a limited lifetime warranty. This covers defects in materials and workmanship but excludes damages caused by improper installation, racing, or misuse.
  • Öhlins Coilovers: Öhlins coilovers are covered by a 2-year limited warranty. This warranty applies to defects in materials and craftsmanship but excludes damages caused by improper installation or racing applications.
