This kit is designed specifically for the 1987-1990 BMW 325ix AWD E30, making it a proper option for ix owners who want lowering springs without guessing around non-AWD fitment.

With an approximate drop of 1.3 inches in the front and 1.2 inches in the rear, these springs reduce fender gap while keeping the car usable for street driving.

Sold as a complete set of 4 lowering springs.

Overview

The H&R Sport Spring Set is one of the cleanest suspension upgrades for the AWD E30 325ix platform. It lowers the car just enough to improve the stance and center of gravity without turning the car into something harsh or impractical.

For an older BMW chassis like the E30, the right spring setup makes a big difference. These springs help reduce body roll, tighten up handling, and give the car a more confident feel during cornering, braking, and everyday driving.

Built for the AWD E30 325ix

Do not confuse these with standard RWD E30 springs. The 325ix uses a different AWD suspension setup, and this H&R kit is listed specifically for the 1987-1990 BMW 325ix AWD E30.

Installation Notes

  • An alignment is strongly recommended after installation.
  • Inspect shocks, struts, mounts, bump stops, and spring pads during installation.
  • Older E30 suspension components may be worn, so replacing related wear items at the same time is often a good idea.
  • Final ride height may settle slightly after the springs are installed and driven.
EZT Recommendation

Because the E30 325ix is an older AWD chassis, we recommend checking the full suspension system before installation. Fresh mounts, healthy dampers, and a proper alignment will help the car feel the way it should.

  • EZT Carbon Edition Steering Wheels: The EZT Carbon Edition steering wheels come with a 1-year warranty for workmanship. This warranty excludes damage caused by physical misuse, harsh environments, or improper installation.
  • Porterfield Brakes: Porterfield offers no warranty for brake pads due to the nature of the part.
  • AWE Tuning Products: AWE Tuning offers a lifetime warranty on their exhausts and a one-year warranty on their intakes and intercoolers. The warranty covers craftsmanship and materials under normal usage conditions. Abuse, improper installation, and modifications void the warranty.
  • ZAC Motorsports: ZAC Motorsports products are covered by a 2-year limited warranty. The warranty covers defects in materials and manufacturing, but does not include damage due to racing, misuse, or improper installation.
  • Motul Oils: Motul products come with a limited warranty that covers the shelf life and quality of the oil when used as directed. Warranty claims must be accompanied by proper documentation of vehicle usage and oil change intervals.
  • KW Coilovers: KW suspensions come with a limited lifetime warranty on their coilovers. This warranty is valid for the original purchaser and covers defects in workmanship and materials. Excludes damages from motorsports or improper installation.
  • ST Coilovers: ST Suspensions offer a 5-year limited warranty on their coilovers. The warranty covers craftsmanship, materials, and normal usage. Improper installation, racing, and modifications are not covered.
  • Eibach Coilovers: Eibach products carry a limited lifetime warranty. This covers defects in materials and workmanship but excludes damages caused by improper installation, racing, or misuse.
  • Öhlins Coilovers: Öhlins coilovers are covered by a 2-year limited warranty. This warranty applies to defects in materials and craftsmanship but excludes damages caused by improper installation or racing applications.
