Description

PowerStop Red Rear Brake Caliper Pair | VW Golf, GTI, SportWagen, Alltrack & Passat | S7272

Add a red powder-coated finish with a matched pair of PowerStop rear replacement calipers and brackets. Includes the rear left and rear right assemblies for verified applications.

Fitment First - Read Before Ordering

PowerStop S7272 is a complete rear caliper pair with mounting brackets. Catalog coverage includes selected Volkswagen Golf, Golf SportWagen, Golf Alltrack, GTI and Passat applications listed below. These are application-specific replacement calipers, not a universal brake conversion.

Rear Left + RightRed Powder CoatBrackets IncludedManual Parking BrakeVIN Verification Required
Model family Catalog year range Key restriction
Golf 2015-2021 Only listed trims/engines; TDI requires original brake verification.
Golf SportWagen 2015-2019 Listed gasoline applications only.
Golf Alltrack 2017-2019 S, SE and SEL.
GTI 2015-2018 Excludes Performance brakes.
Passat 2015-2022 Only listed trims/engines; 2015 TDI build-date restriction applies.
VIN verification required: Include the complete 17-digit VIN with your order. The original caliper, carrier bracket, rotor and manual parking-brake configuration must match S7272. Brake modifications must be disclosed.
Not covered: GTI Performance brakes, factory GTI Sport Performance brakes, Golf R, e-Golf/electronic parking-brake systems, Jetta, or unverified brake conversions. No SportWagen TDI application is included in the supplied fitment data.
What’s Included
  • One PowerStop red rear left brake caliper assembly
  • One PowerStop red rear right brake caliper assembly
  • Matching rear caliper mounting brackets

Order quantity 1 supplies the complete rear pair. Manufacturer part number S7272 is the pair, not one individual caliper.

Not included: Front calipers, brake pads, rotors, hoses, parking-brake cables and brake fluid. Replace any separately required installation hardware according to the factory service procedure.
Part Number Configuration
Brand Manufacturer part number Turn14 reference Package
PowerStop S7272 psbS7272 Rear left and right calipers with brackets, 1 pair
Red Powder-Coated Finish

PowerStop uses a high-temperature red powder coating to give the calipers a finished appearance behind the wheels and help resist corrosion. The calipers are pressure-tested and inspected for piston operation.

  • Red powder-coated calipers and brackets
  • Replacement seals, guide pins and dust boots as applicable
  • High-temperature rubber components and lubricated sliding surfaces
  • Application-specific replacement fit

The red finish does not identify these as GTI-only parts or convert the vehicle to a larger brake system.

Complete Catalog Application List

The following table reproduces the supplied Turn14 S7272 application coverage, including engine, trim and fitment restrictions. Entries remain subject to original brake verification. A catalog listing alone does not override an incompatible factory brake package.

Golf TDI Fitment Check

The supplied catalog lists 2015 Golf TDI S, TDI SE and TDI SEL. Because Golf rear brake configurations vary, we require confirmation of the original caliper and bracket application before supplying this pair for a TDI.

Send your VIN and, if available, the original rear caliper/bracket part numbers and rear rotor diameter. Do not assume S7272 is compatible solely because a Golf TDI appears in the catalog.

Installation Notes
  • Professional installation is recommended.
  • Compare the replacement assemblies with the original calipers and brackets before installation.
  • Confirm compatibility with the installed rear rotors, pads, hoses and parking-brake cables.
  • Use the factory torque specifications and replace one-time-use hardware as required.
  • Bleed the hydraulic brake system and complete the applicable manual parking-brake adjustment.
  • Verify leak-free operation, parking-brake holding and complete release before driving.
Shipping and Availability

This item may ship directly from the supplier. Availability and dispatch timing will be confirmed when the order is processed.

Shipping is calculated separately. Tracking information will be emailed once the shipment is processed.

Bill’s Take

If you want red rear calipers without having your existing set refinished, this PowerStop pair is a practical option for a verified application. It includes both rear calipers and brackets in one package.

Match the parts to your existing brake system first. Sharing a platform or having red calipers does not make every Golf and GTI brake component interchangeable.
