Great customer service and fast order processing. I did the install in 2 steps (removed trim first), then replaced head unit with the 8” model and fitted the new trim. Didn’t realize that I would throw an error for disconnecting the airbag sensor and then started the car. Fortunately OBDEleven cleared the code after I installed the new unit. Everything went flawlessly. One of the nicest features with the bigger screen is the ability to have the Nav at 150’ and still have a fairly wide viewing area. Reverse cam on the bigger screen is great too. As many others have said, this is how the car should have come from factory.

Screen looks fantastic. Opted for this screen over the bigger and newer glass ones because of the OEM trim fit for the early mk7 GTIs in the States. You will NOT be disappointed with this screen. The resolutions is a major improvement over the 5-inch MIB1 and the 6inch MIB2 screens. Unless you really want the glass screen, this one will be perfect.

Received the display as promised. The instructions was a copy of a copy of a copy, etc. It was very difficult to read. Its unfortunate that the kit doesn't include keys for releasing the oem display. You cannot complete this install without them. I improvised and used some thin steel rods that I had lying around in the garage from installing insulation in my crawl space. They are the right diameter and Eurozone could of easily included four 3 inch rods as part of the kit. My OEM had plastic connector protectors on them and I had to pull them off. Took me about an hour to swap this display out. The instructions were difficult to read, so I spent a little time trying to figure out how to get the hazard switch removed. Once the OEM 6.5" display was removed, the install went pretty quick. Its really nice, and the dealer even asked me where I get this display. Told them Eurozone Tuning. - Richard

Instructions were pretty clear and easy to follow. The installation process for this unit is not that complicated--the hardest part for me was removing/re-installing the trim piece as there are many clips and some tabs that lock the bottom of the trim behind the HVAC trim beneath. The airbag light & hazard switch pop out easily, but they don't have a lot of slack in the wiring harness, so I used an extended-reach needlenose plier to pull them through the hole when lining up the new trim. Also keep an eye out for the metal clip pieces falling out or coming off with the trim.

This thing fit perfectly. It tooke me litteraly 10 mins to install and now i have a much bigger screen. One caveat is that i did have to trim down one of the keys on one of the plugs but that took less then 5 seconds.. Thanks Euro Zone

Install was super easy with correct tools. Biggest stress level step was removing the trim pieces. Great install instructions included with product. The new upgraded bigger screen looks amazing in my Golf R. Really just sad it didn't come stock like this from VW. European models get all the snazzier gadgets
