My 2015 VW PASSAT RNS system was stuck on a loop that read "Software Download - Source activated - Searching for SWL Image" that would stay on even when car was off and drained my brand new battery several times!! The VW dealership pulled the fuse and quoted me over $7000.00CAD to fix with a new system!!!!! (I know, laughable right?!!) I heard about Eurozone Tuning from a FB group that I belong to so decided I had nothing to lose.(other than the $7000) I downloaded the update onto a CD and inserted it, (after a soft reset that they gave instructions for) it worked PERFECTLY!!!!! I couldn't believe I did it myself for $29.99USD!!! ($41.00CAD) I "chatted" with a couple different staff members that were offered right on their website and they were extremely helpful, professional and confident that I could do this! I will be definitely using Eurozone in the future!!!! HIGHLY recommended!! Great experience!! Thank you Eurozone Tuning!!!

RNS510 was not booting up, stuck on 'Welcome to VW' splash screen.
I reinstalled firmware version 5382, process took around 45 minutes.
The system booted up immediately, and I've had no problems with it since.
Very happy!

So far, so good. I installed the firmware a few days ago and saw an immediate improvement in the function of the unit. And full functionality was restored as far as I can tell. Glad I was able to work out a solution without having to spend $900 on a head unit replacement. Eurozone support was helpful and I was able to burn the CD at 14x and still get a working ISO image.

Talk about "Problem Solved!" Once I found a thread that described my RNAV problem on my Volkswagen EOS, it took less than a day for a DVD with firmware to arrive. Popped it in the player, and 1/2 an hour later the car was working perfectly!

The unit was stuck in the endless boot up loop, see pic.
After the f/w upgrade, the boot up problem disappeared. It has not returned since the upgrade over 2 months ago.
The upgrade took about 45 minutes to complete. The instructions provided on the Eurozone tuning website are clear. The upgrade was straight forward and I did not encounter any problems.
I would recommend trying the f/w upgrade if you are experiencing the same problem.

Used to fix common reboot loop in a US version VW Passat RNS 510. Works great for a boot system re-install. Takes patience and ignoring the CD error message that you get when inserting the CD; just hit the OK and wait for the SWL detected message, then answer the questions that you will be prompted with. Photo is of system prior to install to assure correct version.

This is the best $30 I've ever spent. The FW fixed all the problems I was having with my radio. To spend $30 to save $800 or more was so worth it. The software update took about 40min which I did while driving to work. It's now been 8 days and all the problems are a thing of the past.
Thank you EuroZone Tuning!!!

My RNS 510 was stuck on: “software upload - source activated, searching for SWL image”. This worked perfectly!

Worked Flawlessly. I was stuck in a boot loop. Put the disk in. Didn’t know what I was doing. Text Messaged Eurozone and heard back in minutes. Helped me initiate the reboot process. Ran through the reboot and put in the radio code. Boom done. No bull crap. Save your time Scouring VW forums for free software and get the right product for your radio.

Worked as described. Fixed loading error on previous radio firmware.

My unit was cycling on and off. The new firmware was the perfect fix.
