This 8" glass display retrofit kit fits the following Volkswagen MK7 models when paired with the correct MIB2-based setup:

2018-2021 Important Note
If your 2018-2021 vehicle does not have a brain unit in the glovebox, this screen kit alone will not work. You will need a full MIB2 retrofit including the brain unit, new glovebox, and relocation wiring harness.

Installation is straightforward and can be completed with basic trim removal tools. No coding is required for the screen and trim swap itself.

Upgrade your factory 6.5" display to the larger OEM 8" version Glass Display with the buttons integrated into the glass. The installation is plug and play on 2016 and 2017 models with the MIB2 with the 6.5". For 2015 and 2018-2019 cars, you need to retrofit an MIB2 Brain Unit in your glovebox in order to use this. Contact us for more clarification if necessary.
Warranty
Eurozone Tuning Branded Kits: These kits come with a 6-month warranty that covers replacement or repair due to manufacturing defects. Damage from improper installation, accidents, or misuse is not covered.
EZT Carbon Edition Steering Wheels: The EZT Carbon Edition steering wheels come with a 1-year warranty for workmanship. This warranty excludes damage caused by physical misuse, harsh environments, or improper installation.
Porterfield Brakes: Porterfield offers no warranty for brake pads due to the nature of the part.
AWE Tuning Products: AWE Tuning offers a lifetime warranty on their exhausts and a one-year warranty on their intakes and intercoolers. The warranty covers craftsmanship and materials under normal usage conditions. Abuse, improper installation, and modifications void the warranty.
ZAC Motorsports: ZAC Motorsports products are covered by a 2-year limited warranty. The warranty covers defects in materials and manufacturing, but does not include damage due to racing, misuse, or improper installation.
Motul Oils: Motul products come with a limited warranty that covers the shelf life and quality of the oil when used as directed. Warranty claims must be accompanied by proper documentation of vehicle usage and oil change intervals.
KW Coilovers: KW suspensions come with a limited lifetime warranty on their coilovers. This warranty is valid for the original purchaser and covers defects in workmanship and materials. Excludes damages from motorsports or improper installation.
ST Coilovers: ST Suspensions offer a 5-year limited warranty on their coilovers. The warranty covers craftsmanship, materials, and normal usage. Improper installation, racing, and modifications are not covered.
Eibach Coilovers: Eibach products carry a limited lifetime warranty. This covers defects in materials and workmanship but excludes damages caused by improper installation, racing, or misuse.
Öhlins Coilovers: Öhlins coilovers are covered by a 2-year limited warranty. This warranty applies to defects in materials and craftsmanship but excludes damages caused by improper installation or racing applications.

Dealing with the top clips of the trim was a pain in the butt, but thus mid was well worth it. I only wish I had done it years ago.
The unit fits in PERFECTLY. No issues or hiccups at all, and well-worth the upgrade from the - tiny by comparison - 6.5" display, which is also much dimmer than this unit. There is an option to order keys and trim removal tools, but the keys are required to remove the display and the trim pieces will make your life easier, so just get them. This whole process takes around 10-15 minutes. Disconnecting the battery is not required, but it's recommended.
Couldn't be happier with it. Customer support was very helpful in helping me (a person who has no idea what they're doing) find the right model for my 2017 Alltrack S. I watched the video and the installation was very simple using the trim tools (which I highly recommend you get). Display is clean, works great, and is much better than the stock one. Both it and the trim piece fit in like a puzzle piece. Thanks EZT!
Surprisingly simple & fully operational!
Had to replace my old radio due to multiple issues as the result of a dead touchscreen… finally got tired of no Bluetooth & faulty tire pressure alarms, so I pulled the trigger on EZT’s retrofit kit.
New radio looks amazing, trim matches perfectly… ZERO complaints!!
I was wary of spending so much money on just a couple more inches, but it really transformed the interior of my mk7 Golf R. Bigger screen. Clearer glass. Sensitive touch. Easy installation. If you have the money, prioritize, but you can't go wrong with this screen. Plug and play. Very happy with EZT.

The removal and install for my MK7 Golf’s receiver was absolutely seemless. It took me probably 20 minutes at the most. Very easy. The finished result is much more modern look vs the original MK7 Radio set up. Larger screen is much better to see. The shipping was super fast. Very happy.
Really a great upgrade to your MK7. Install took maybe 30 minutes and no coding required. Instructions were clear and concise. No other tools needed other than the 4 radio keys and soft trim tools. Love it!
Great screen and bezel, everything arrived in good condition and packaged well to ensure nothing got damaged (lots of bubble wrap). The install was a breeze with the included instructions and tools. The screen looks great, it is brighter and more vibrant than the stock 6.5 screen it is replacing and makes the center console of the car look much more modern. On my non-nav 17 GTI SE everything was plug and play as far as cables, and the App button works taking you directly to CarPlay in my case. All in all a great buy!
The screen was a huge upgrade! It wasn't quite as easy to install as some suggest. It was very difficult to get parts of the trim off. But it was my first time doing this kind of thing, so maybe I'm just not used to how hard you can pull on this plastic. Later I found a little rubber clip cover that I forgot to put back on, but I haven't noticed any rattling, so whatever. One thing I would suggest is to remind people of the little silver piece of trim around the vents. I missed this and had to pull the whole thing off again when I realized it was still attached to the old trim. Overall great product, great upgrade.
Minus some stubborn trim, the install was super easy and the result is super rewarding! This has been on my list for a while, and im glad i upgraded! Cant reccomend this enough
The 8" display and new brain work great. I wish your web page would state that it takes about 7 days or so to reprogram the brain before it is shipped. Other than that, a great experience.
